Skiing for All Alaskans

We serve rural and urban communities throughout Alaska. Each year we work with more than 8,000 skiers. Every child in each village we visit has the opportunity to learn how to ski. Parents and community members are also encouraged to learn with the children.

Cross-country skiing is an activity that individuals can enjoy throughout their lifetime. We encourage families throughout the state of Alaska to learn a new way to enjoy time together through cross-country skiing.

A ski to a nearby hill to enjoy springtime in the Arctic, a ski out to the Sheefish hole, adventuring out on a spring caribou hunt on cross-country skis, or a simple ski around the village are all great activities to enjoy with family and friends.
